As you would have all seen across the media worldwide, Australia was ravaged by some wild bushfires which claimed the lives of way too many animals and displaced thousands from their homes. The best way we can support them is to not cancel any plans, in fact, to make plans to visit their regions and support their local businesses despite this devastation.

We have compiled some of our favourite regional accommodations around Australia and we hope that it inspires you to travel around Australia this year and support these incredible communities.

KIMO ESTATE ECO HUTS
Nangus, NSW

Nestled in regional NSW, the Kimo Estate was established long before it was open to the public. In 2015, the very first eco-hut was built. They were designed to allow you to switch off from this busy world and get back to nature. Architecturally designed they are completely off-grid and make use of the sun the wind and the rain. They sit high on the hilltops, kilometers apart and overlook the beautiful Murrumbidgee River flats and the grand hills surrounding them in one of the most beautiful parts of Australia.

Hamilton & Dune
Kangaroo Island, SA

Kangaroo Island is one of Australia’s greatest secrets and is also completely reliant on the tourism industry. When the fires tore through, the local businesses were directly impacted. The island is still open for business and we have the opportunity to make it thrive. Whether Summer, Autumn, Winter or Spring, it is the perfect place to explore.

The Dune House is located overlooking the stunning stretch of Emu Bay. With panoramic views, the coziest amenities and a quiet beach at your doorstep, nothing speaks getaway louder than this. The owners also have The Hamilton House which is located on the Emu Bay foreshore. The perfect house for a friends getaway with incredible entertaining space.
