As we continue on our journey of showcasing one of the world’s greatest cities, we share with you some really fun things to do while you are galavanting around the city and avoiding Times Square at all costs. Some of them well known, some of them little travel hacks.

EVERLANE

This brand is one of the most considered in the country and not only that they are completely transparent with where their clothing is made, how much they pay their workers and how sustainable the clothing is. The New York store was the first brick and mortar store and has us emptying our wallets every time. Be sure to create room in your luggage when you go. The fit is perfect.

ALLBIRDS

Prince Street is the ideal street to have a flagship store and Allbirds did not miss a beat with this store. Not only is the internal design impeccable but this B-Corp company created the store with sustainable materials which pairs incredibly well with their entirely wool created shoes. Your eyes and your feet will thank you!

STORY

Located inside Macy’s you will find one of the most progressive store ideas that we have come across. Changing seasonly, Story represents different brands from around the world. With a different theme every few months, you will always find something you cannot live without.

THE LAUNDRESS

Okay, you may be asking why the hell we would include a laundry store in this round-up. Well, you’ve never been here before, obviously, so just listen. This store feels like it has been made my Mary Poppins herself. All the products are ridiculously miracle working and normally only available online. But the in store experience is worth the trip for sure and please, whatever you do, don’t leave without the Crease Release Spray. I have been kicking myself every day for not getting the larger bottle. You’re welcome.

MCNALLY JACKSON

McNally Jackson is apart of the fabric of New York City life. The bookstores are a safe haven from the hustle and bustle and carry some of the greatest novels and publications. The perfect place to pick up a holiday read before jumping back on the bus, train, plane or automobile.
