All you Perth folk, or want to visit Perth folk, this one is for you. And don't worry, you can thank us later!

The Como Shambhala is not just any wellness experience; it is the kind that everyone should have on their to do list. The kind that you save your pennies for and indulge in when you need it most.

We started our day by heading downstairs. Tucked away down a flight of stairs at the State Buildings, just off St Georges Terrace, you will find the brand new Yogaworx space. Wendy, who runs Yogaworx together with her partner Mal, welcomed us into the serene yoga studio. Immediately you can feel the vast difference between the bustling city sidewalk just metres away and this tranquil space. The round glass door, exposed brick, wooden floors, warm lighting, and soft music all work together to create a beautiful environment that has you on your way to relaxation before the yoga class has even begun. The well-equipped studio provides everything you might need: yoga mats, accessories, and showers. The Restorative Lunchtime Revive class is the best way to still your mind and body in the midst of your busy day. The room was perfectly sized, allowing Wendy to tend to everyone's needs. During the 45-minute class, I felt a quiet calm, as if I was on vacation. When the session had ended, I felt incredibly rested and the stress of my day had all but faded away. In amongst the busy Perth city, Yogaworx studio is most certainly “a place to go where you can stop.”

We then ventured into Post to experience the Shambhala menu. This healthful cuisine includes food rich in living enzymes, vitamins and minerals, raw food menu items and predominantly vegetarian selections. The focus at Post, is to highlight the incredible food that is grown locally to Western Australia with clever, modern Australian style dishes. Not only is it completely delicious, it is real food. They don’t skimp out on taste to create something that your body will love, in fact, it was some of the most delicious food we have eaten in our lives and something that we will most definitely be back for. Quinoa Pasta, Pork Belly, Stuffed Heirloom Pumpkins, just a few of our favourite dishes we ate. The wine, cocktail and Shambhala juice menu all add to the mouth-watering experience at Post. The design style at Post, adds to the experience with its whitewashed brick walls, natural wood tables, exposed beams and a flooding of natural light, sets the place apart and creates an incredibly peaceful and well-balanced dining experience.

If we were not yet fully relaxed, located at the end of the heritage listed building is the ever peaceful The Como Shambhala Urban Escape. Each therapy offered has a personalised focus on wellbeing for every individual. There are four, purpose built therapy rooms, designed with softly lit bronze ceilings, deep rich tones and enhanced by travertine and dark wood accents. The 75 minute Shambhala Signature Massage was otherworldly. Using their own signature massage oils, essential oil blends and massage style, it sets itself above the rest and really creates space to truly unwind in luxury.

There are endless possibilities in the Treasury Buildings, but our favourite yet is our day of wellness. Looking after yourself is something that is most often looked over but so very needed, so get booking friends!
