Our lives in this day and age are ever changing and never slowing down. We are in the constant sphere of growth and creating fast and quicker ways to get things done. This generation is constantly moving forward without looking backwards. We are constantly on the move and rarely find time to eat, much less take in moments.
We are like ships in the middle of the ocean with the reach in our hearts to get over the waves and through the storm just to arrive at our next destinations, but what if we just stood still and sailed? What if we chose to change our world with one single moment at a time? If each of us chooses to take a moment to discover the hidden beauty that is surrounding us, we could change the way the world defines life and how it is to be lived. Every moment we pass up is a defining memory that was created just for us to experience. The little things, the little moments, they are not little, they are there to provide the opportunity for each individual to feel deeply and experience fully.
It is not always easy to remove yourself from the hustle and bustle of life’s constant flow, but I promise you that when you let yourself slow down and take in your surroundings – your heart will begin to soar in the open air and enjoy the creation that was meant to be interacted with.
I encourage you to take the time to slow down and look around at the beauty that is right in front of you. The beauty that is hidden in the landscape that we pass everyday, the beauty that is within the hearts of the lives we interact with consistently, the beauty that is hidden inside of every moment that we just let pass by and slip through your finger tips.
Walk in nature, watch a sunrise, make time for loved ones, read a book, turn off your phone – do whatever it looks like for you to find your moments every day, because if you are constantly racing to get to the next moment, you’ll miss the one you’re already in.
The world may tell you that success lies in the amount of money you have in your bank account or the amount of time you give to your career or how many things you can accomplish before the day is through. But true success lies in the depth of the beauty within your own heart and how you’ve chosen to let it be seen. Be successful under these terms and let your heart find inspiration in the stillness.
